Evelyn Meza

CHW/Educator - Charlotte

Evelyn emigrated from Costa Rica to North Carolina eight years ago with her family as part of an Exchange Program for Spanish-speaking teachers. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a specialization in Public Relations from Universidad Latina in Costa Rica.  

For the past six years, Evelyn lived in Colorado, where she enjoyed the beautiful mountain landscapes and the pristine white snow. During her time there, she dedicated herself to volunteering with various organizations that support Hispanic community, contributing her skills and passion to help others. In 2023 Evelyn and her family returned to North Carolina, a state they had fallen in love with due to its warm climate and beautiful beaches.   

Motivated by her deep commitment to empowering the Hispanic community, Evelyn joined Grameen Promotoras. Through her role as a CHW/Educator Evelyn aims to make a difference in the lives of women and their families, helping them connect to needed services and resources and continue her dedication to supporting and uplifting her community.
