Olga Tapia

Senior CHW/Educator – Queens

Olga came to the United States 24 years ago. It was a little hard for her to adapt to a new culture and a new lifestyle, and she and her family struggled with language barriers and some services in the city. Olga has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, which she completed at Queensborough Community College. She worked at Landmark Theater for 11 years where she got experience working with a diverse group of people, and working there made her decide to help her community.

Olga graduated from Make the Road New York as a Community Health Worker. She is very happy to be part of Grameen Promotoras and to work in her community to provide health and wellness services.
