Anel Martinez

Senior CHW/Educator – Connecticut

Anel was born and grew up in Mexico. Before working at Grameen Promotoras as a CHW/Educator, she worked as a Promotora de Salud for Planned Parenthood of New York City and Violence Intervention Program (VIP). She loves working with the immigrant community and providing them with the resources that they need.

Anel graduated from LaGuardia Community College as a Community Health Worker and completed her internship at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx. Anel’s passion and dedication were an example for her 22 year old daughter who is pursuing a CHW career as well.
