Martha was born and raised in Mexico (Tuxpan,Veracruz). She graduated with a BA in Communication Science and in postgraduate studies on Corporate and Organizational Communications and PR Relations from Universidad del Noreste in Tamaulipas,Mexico. Martha had the opportunity to work for the Hispanic Television Group Univision in Chicago as News Writer and as a Radio Host with Detroit Public Radio at “El Grito de mi Raza,'' a community radio program. She moved to Charlotte, NC in 2006 and became part of the Carolinas Healthcare System (now Atrium Health) as a Financial Counselor.

Martha always loves to help and serve people, and this role helps as a vehicle for her to connect, understand and support individuals within the local health system. One important lesson she learned on this new path is that in order to achieve a success story, you need to understand and deliver the right tools, resources, and have a great attitude. Martha found Grameen PrimaCare as a wonderful opportunity to work together for a better healthy community in the Charlotte Metro Area.
